Unleavened Bread Ministries with David Eells

Spiritual & Physical Healing

Bryan Maneafaiga - 05/15/2012

Today I felt compelled to call David and pray about what kind of job I should and could be working. He prayed a simple prayer with me and afterward I hadn't planned to but I got a call from the brethren and went to lunch with them. Long story short, God used me to help make peace in their household and pray for the older sister they were living with and God healed her shoulder! She was wearing a sling at first when I walked in and after we prayed she took off the sling and started to move it and little by little her arm got stronger and stronger. We went outside to do hard work and she was picking up a wooden 2x4 and handing it to us! Beforehand we all confessed sins and reconciled with each other over things we were bitter over and repented and God cleaned us out. It was such a blessed time of fellowship.

We even all got to witness as a church (four of us), to a sister who walked in, of the saving, changing power of the Lord. He is so good. There is more work to be done but I learned a little from studying on healing in Matthew 10:1 and Luke 9:1. The word "heal" in the Greek is therapeu which means to wait upon and to serve and to cure. It's where we get the word "therapy" from. We wait upon the Lord by serving his people, being quick to listen and slow to speak. Usually, in therapy the therapist listens to the client speak. In our case, when a brother or sister gives us a case, we have to listen to understand how to help. I've learned that if we listen to them and hear what's going on, then God will give us the words to help them by humbling ourselves to the brethren. He who answers before he hears a thing, it is a folly and a shame to him. Usually, after they have said their piece, God gives wisdom and light to them they repent. And repentance and faith brings salvation. Believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth.

Once the sister released the bitterness she had and forgave, she was healed.

This is the work I had been desiring to do. But instead of talking, it was actually listening that opened the door. Exactly what David prayed for -- an open door.

Thank you! I look forward to doing more work and helping the brethren.

The only thing I need prayer on is God's strength against temptation. I broke up with my girlfriend because God revealed to me, "Let every man abide in the calling which he was called with God ... Are you loosed from a wife, seek not a wife". Honestly, when God called me, I didn't have a wife, so when I prayed for the perfect will of God, it was painful but I had to admit I was seeking a wife when scripture was telling me not to. And when I was with her, I was very distracted and not whole-heartedly committed. Now it has been humbling and heartbreaking but I believe it is the best for everyone.

Her son calls me "Dad" and I call him "Son" because I love him. And that's what breaks my heart. I just ask that they are blessed and he is not damaged through this.

I emailed in a while ago and the saints asked me if we were going to get married but I did not feel we were equally yoked. I just really desire to make things right with this person so that The Father is not mad at me. Her and the boy.

Thank you for the prayers. God is doing miracles in my house. My dad is getting delivered daily of weaknesses in standing up to his girlfriend and being a strong man of God and being a good father to my sister. We have been praying together everyday and getting answers! And my mom, who hated me and slapped me and threw out my Bibles and cursed them, is my best friend now. We pray everyday together and are really really close in the spirit. God is strengthening her and delivering her from hurts that have happened years ago when we were in a bad situation.

It is really awesome.

I had a dream that a man killed her and broke her back but God has been strengthening her spine and she has been standing up for herself and getting stronger everyday. We rejoice in what God is doing and give thanks and praise in Your work, Lord.

Thank you, brethren, for your faithful ministry and service; it is really blessing me and everybody around me.

"Give and it shall be given unto you".
