Healed of Restless Legs & Fibromyalgia

Michael was talking to an elder this morning and I had been under an attack in the nerves of my legs. I have laid down one medication and my body thinks it is that medication that keeps it from having nerve pain, so it is rebelling! I was in tears due to nerve pain and it felt like I had bugs crawling on my legs under the skin. The Lord reminded me of this scripture: (Jas.5:14) Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. (15) And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

So I went to ask Michael to ask Willie to pray. Elder Frank Thornton was on the phone, too, but I didn't know that. Michael asked them to pray and said he would lay his hand on my leg and we would all agree. I could not hear them pray, as we didn't have the speakerphone on, but I just began to Praise God for healing me, thanking Jesus for His stripes and just Praising God. They both had stopped before praying to listen to the Spirit and HAD NOT YET EVEN BEGUN TO PRAY and the pain left! The Lord answered before we even asked. I think the demons saw what was coming and just said, "Ya know, we're gonna have to go anyway, so let's just leave now! " They tried to come back about 20 minutes later but I said, "No way, in Jesus Name", and stood my ground and they just stopped trying -- praise be to the Lord God Almighty!

I just wanted to give this praise report because, most importantly, the Lord God is worthy of our praise and also this is part of the fruit that is coming from the different UBM Bible studies. This is part of the results of the brethren beginning to know who the elders are and that we can call upon them. We are so blessed to have such Godly men who walk in holiness and the power of the spirit, who stand on the Word and are willing to be servants of the Lord. Praise God!

Update 05/15/2010

I also remember Willie telling me a few weeks ago that "the fibromyalgia is totally gone now, sister! " Amen, it is. It did not dawn on me at the moment that I asked Willie to pray for me what the date was, but April Selenskikh had sent me this scripture on the 10th and the elders prayed for me on the 13th.

(2Ki.20:5) Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.

I had written back to April the day she sent the scripture, telling her that I was going to see if this would be a literally manifested healing or had some other meaning. Praise God, it was literal! I was on my feet from 10:00 AM until 3:00 AM yesterday (Friday), doing housework and just having a great time and was totally pain-free. I haven't been able to do that in about three years. I had noticed this morning that my feet were not tingling and numb anymore. Glory to God!

(Mat.6:33) But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The above article does not explain everything in chronological order. I wanted to add that I have been standing in faith, believing the scriptures in Isaiah 53 and 1 Peter 2:24 that tells us that by Jesus' stripes we WERE/ARE healed and that Jesus bore our grief (pain) and is our healer.

I first started receiving manifested healing from the fibromyalgia in the spring of 2006 and at that time I received healing from the horrible sweats I had been having every night for about 1 1/2 years. At the worst point of the sweats, I was changing my bed clothing about four times a night and had to put a sheet folded in half across the bed so absorb the great amount of perspiration that came from my body every night. I had read the testimonies of several sisters in the Lord who had just had babies and the Lord showed me that if I stood on the scripture as they had done throughout their labor, I too, would receive victory over the curse which includes all manifestation of illnesses (Childbirth Testimony / Miracle Home Birth).

The sweats would come just as labor pains do. They would start with my body getting hot and continue until my body temperature would increase by about two degrees. Then the "hot flash" would cease and I would break out in a drenching sweat. These were not due to menopause but were part of the fibromyalgia. These sweats were pure torment and if you placed your hand on the back of my head you could feel my body temperature increase and when the hot flash would stop. I actually used a digital thermometer once to see if my whole body temperature increased and sure enough, with the use of thermometer, I could see my body temperature increase and then dissipate.

After seeing what the Lord had done for these sisters, I armed myself with healing scriptures and decided I would stand against these sweats. For three nights I laid in bed and every time one of these sweats would begin to come against me I would begin to pray and rebuke Satan with the scriptures. During the next three days I did the same thing. On the morning of the fourth day I went about my business for the next three weeks and, believe it or not, I did not even notice that I had not had one episode of the sweats. I felt pretty foolish when one day it dawned on me that I had been making it through the night without sweating at all.

At first I thought it was the fact that we were entering into the season of spring and the barometer was not rising and falling as it does throughout the other months. The pressure and temperature rising and falling outside often had an effect on how I felt. I had noticed in previous years that around this time each year I would have a reprieve in some of my symptoms. Then it finally dawned on me that Father God had honored my faith but, just to make sure, I had to call David Eells, who is the founder of the Unleavened Bread Ministries and who had given almost all of the teachings that point. I explained to him what I had done and what had happened and asked him, "David, have I been healed?" David said, "Well, sister, I believe you have been", and we praised God together. I have not had one of those hideous episodes of sweating since then.

Since I started to stand in faith in September of 2005, after hearing David teach on healing and how we have been bought back by Jesus from the curse which comes with our sinful, fallen condition, and also the teaching of enduring the testing of our faith, I have received manifested healing from a heart condition for which they never could find a cause but I had to have a cardiac cauterization (1996), take a baby aspirin every day and carry nitroglycerin tablets in case my racing heart progressed into symptoms of a heart attack. Also, I have received manifested healing from ulcers, diverticulosis, irritable bowel syndrome, high cholesterol, migraine headaches and now I can add fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and also restless leg syndrome to the list. I also have lost over 100 pounds, which I had gained while on the medication for all of these things. All of the manifestation of healing has come since we began to learn how to walk in faith and stand on the promises given to us in the scripture. The scripture says in Romans 10:8-10 that the Word of faith is near us, even in our mouths, and that if we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Then our believing results in righteousness (right standing with God) and our confessing results in salvation. The meaning and range of the word "salvation" in the New Testament is "physical safety, cure or healing from illness, rescue, deliverance, liberation, protection, keep alive, keep in good health, preserve well-being, benefit, develop wholeness or peace, make secure, and to bring victory". We also are told in verse 17 that faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ.

(Rom.10:8) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach: (9) because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: (10) for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (17) So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Since I began attending the Bible studies and began to be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer only (James 1:22,23), the Lord has honored my faith, which has grown through the "hearing of the Word" and my salvation, i.e. healing and deliverance, has manifested as a result.

To God be the glory, for He is an awesome God!
