Tom Reed The Good Soldier - An Aggressive Man Of War In The Army Of The LORD of Hosts. On August 6, 2005, I attended a church service in Champion, Texas (Houston) and heard preacher David Grigsby. He said the LORD had given him a dream that very morning concerning the LORD'S desire for the church. In the dream were two boxers fighting in a ring. One boxer was on the ropes trying to fend off the rain of blows delivered by his opponent. The LORD impressed on Pastor Grigsby that He wants His church to attack Satan in such a way. Many are allowing Satan to beat them to a pulp instead of aggressively attacking him and placing him on the defensive. If the church of Jesus Christ will attack Satan aggressively, not even the gates of hell will be able to prevent us from pulling the lost out of the fire. Jude 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. Several years ago, I was studying 2nd Timothy concerning the good soldier. I asked the LORD to tell me what a "good soldier" is. GOD spoke to me immediately through the Holy Spirit and said, "The good soldier is an aggressive man of war in the army of the LORD of Hosts". I then understood that a good soldier looks for the enemy, Satan, and attacks offensively. The good soldier is always going from confrontation to confrontation and securing each victory in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ with a holy life. The word that GOD gave me on the "good soldier" and the GOD given dream to Pastor Grigsby are one. I have been reading some of the visions of Dumitru this evening. In some of the visions GOD communicates to him that the night is coming when no man can work. I was on Grand Cayman Island last year when hurricane Ivan struck. I couldn't get off the island and so weathered the storm at my hotel. The winds gusted up to 200 mph and the air was like foam with moisture. The wind sounded like pressurized air coming out of the hose you fill your car tires with. As I looked out my window at the destruction taking place, the Lord spoke to me and said, "The night cometh when no man can work." We need to do all we can to win the lost to Jesus Christ while the window of opportunity is open (1 Cor. 16:9). I recalled the scripture tonight where Jesus said, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day". Our work for souls will be in vain when "the night cometh" and the Father is no longer drawing. GOD is encouraging the church to really work for souls during these last days. When every name in the Lamb's Book of Life is accounted for with a born again experience, Jesus will return.
