Are The Odds Against You? Good!Chapter 7Praise The Lord saints! Thank you so much for joining us today. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord we praise You! We give thanks unto You Lord for being our God, our Savior, and our Faithful Creator, Lord. Lord, we know that there were two creations. There was the natural man, and now we are in the process of the creation of the spiritual man. And we thank You Lord for being the Creator of our souls Lord, and bringing us into the Image of Jesus Christ, Lord. And causing Your Word to be precious and holy unto us Lord. And granting us repentance unto all things that are displeasing unto You Lord. Lord, help us to give up any kind of self-sufficiency [self-confidence] and help us to put our confidence totally upon You Lord. It is by grace and we earnestly desire Your grace Lord. And that we would rely on You for everything Lord. That our faith would be our salvation in everything Lord. You said, "the righteous shall live from faith." So, we thank You Father! We thank You for moving these things in our hearts Lord. And we praise You for it in Jesus' Name. Amen.Well, are the odds against you? Good! We are discovering that it's quite good to be in a place where the odds are against you, because God will be there for you! He's our Savior! We talked about Gideon's story, and how he didn't seem to be the self-confident person that many preachers are today. He said, (Jdg. 6:15) Oh Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house. (16) And The Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee... He didn't have the "self-confidence" that is so much of a hinderance to people walking in the Kingdom of The Lord today. The Lord wants us to come to Him as a little child. Someone who hasn't figured it all out, and someone who is not going to make it by their own strength or their own power. God consistently picks people like this, because He hates self-confidence.
