faith is the substance of the thing hoped for All we like sheep have gone astray Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Here are the saved Romans speaking about the Jews who are not saved who are seeking to be justified by works. Their throat is an open sepulchre; With their tongues they have used deceit: The poison of asps is under their lips: (14) Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: (15) Their feet are swift to shed blood; (16) Destruction and misery are in their ways; (17) And the way of peace have they not known: (18) There is no fear of God before their eyes.Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:I want to say too, that there are a lot of people that are even Christians and they are still wasting their substance on riotous living, because they are not submitted to the Lord and they are not walking the crucified life. It doesn't matter if they are going to church everyday and making the people in their church happy that they are Christians. They are still doing the exact same thing. They are doing their own thing. They are wasting the substance that the Lord has given to them to walk as Christians and doing their own thing. I remember recently on our radio program, Brother Howard Pitman came on and shared his testimony. How he had been a preacher of the gospel for many years and witnessed on the streets and raised up an orphanage and all kinds of things like that. And yet he died and found himself before the gates of Heaven. He stepped up boldly for God to give him his life back and when God spoke to him, He just knocked him flat on his face.
