Words from Unleavened Bread Bible Study with David EellsSlamming the Door to UnbeliefProbably like me, the devil is speaking things in your mind. You know the devil is a pretty slick lawyer and he likes to trip us up with the scriptures. He likes to use those loopholes to try to talk us out of the benefits of the kingdom that the Lord has already given to us. Theyre ours; they're free. How many of you know that he can easily talk us out of them if we haven't closed those loopholes by studying the word and seeking understanding? Many people have questions in their mind. Will my failures keep me from receiving the benefits of the kingdom? Is there something I'm doing that I don't know about that God could be holding against me that is keeping me from receiving the benefits of the kingdom? Many such questions in peoples minds keep them from having steadfast, bold faith in the Lord. This hinders the healing; it hinders the deliverance; it hinders the benefits that we would receive otherwise. One verse I would like to look at is 2 Corinthians 7:1. It says, Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. God doesnt really have another method for bringing about his benefits in us than the knowledge of the word. All of the armor we put on to fight this battle to receive the benefits of the kingdom has to do with the word of God in our minds. The Bible says "...be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Rom.8:2). So it is a battle because the devil sits there in the first heaven seeking to hinder us from reaching our benefits in the kingdom. The Lord has "...blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ" (Eph.1:3) the scripture says. Yet we are so easily talked out of the them because we havent closed these loopholes. Back in the very beginning of my Christian walk, I began to do this because I had a lot of questions and I began to seek them out. I
