Words transcribed from Unleavened Bread Bible Study with David Eells Manifesting Perfection In Luke 8:14 we learned that the word for perfection in the parable of the sower was the Greek word ‘telesphoreo’. It means to bring to completion or end in view. And, we understand that the way to receive this free gift, the perfection from God, is actually to see the end from the beginning, to call the things that are not as though they were. 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. The very foundation and the strength and the power of God’s perfection come by our faith in the good gospel, the true gospel. We learn that “…beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord” will bring us into the same image from glory to glory. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. [The word used there for children is ‘teknion’. It is children and not sons which is ‘huios’. We are children and yet we are not fully manifested the way we’re going to be manifested] We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is. Notice first of all that the word is if and not when. You can verify this by checking in the Received Text, in the ancient manuscripts, or in the numeric pattern. It was man’s idea to use the word ‘when’ in some Bible translations. “…if he shall be manifested,” not “…when He shall appear.” “…if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him.” Meaning, of course, that if He is manifested in us, we are going to be like Him. 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. This is how faith works. We see the end from the beginning. We see the gift of God that has been given unto us, who is
